Good evening:
Just a few things as we close up our fall DSL soccer season:
1. This past weekend we had our Developmental and all girls tournament. It was great weather and it was good seeing so many teams from our league get together to end the season with some tournament play. I did want to recognize the teams that made it out of group play and into the semifinals/finals, they are as follows:
- First Grade – St. Kilian Green, Ave Maria, St. Kilian White, and St. Kilian Black all qualified for the semi finals. St. Kilian Black won the championship game 2-0 over St. Kilian White.
- Second Grade – St. Kilian Black, Aquinas, Sacred Heart, and St. Bede all qualified for the semi finals. St. Bede won the championship game 3-2 over St. Kilian.
- First/Second Grade – Holy Sepulcher, St. Bede, Sts. Peter and Paul, and Butler Catholic all qualified for the semi finals. Sts. Peter and Paul beat St. Bede 5-1 in the championship game.
- Third Grade – Sacred Heart, Ave Maria Blue, South Hills Catholic and Butler Catholic all qualified for the semi finals. Ave Maria beat South Hills Catholic 2-0 in the championship game.
- Fourth Grade – St. Kilian White, Sacred Heart Red, St. Kilian Green, and St Kilian Black all qualified for the semi finals. St. Kilian Green beat Sacred Heart 2-0 in the championship game.
- Third/Fourth Grade – St. Louise Green, Holy Cross, Butler Catholic, and Providence Heights Alpha all qualified for the semi finals. Holy Cross beat Butler Catholic in the championship game 2-1.
- JV Girls – Aquinas beat Ave Maria in the championship game 4-2.
- Varsity Girls – Sacred Heart beat St. Kilian in the championship game 2-0.
2. This upcoming weekend we will have our JV/Varsity playoff series. Friday's games will be played at the Riverview Turf Field and Saturday's and Sunday's games will be played at Seton LaSalle. At the bottom of the email I have included the weekend's schedule in the event that you would like to attend any of the games.
3. Next week I will send a closing email with the timeline for the Spring 2025 season. That timeline will include key dates for registration, season play, and end of season tournaments/playoffs.
