All:
See attached for the most current Coach Contact List. At this point I have coach information for all but three teams. For the teams that are missing that information (Aquinas 3rd Grade, St. Kili\an White JV in the MLS Bracket, and Eden Christian JV in the Premier Bracket), please contact the name listed for the Soccer Coordinator for that school/team (Tom for Aquinas, Jeff for St. Kilian and Greg for Eden Christian). Also, please double check the contact information that is listed and ensure that everything is accurate. Sometimes I get old information that isn't current, sometimes I get current information but make a typo were transferring that information). If any corrections are needed let me know and I will include it in the next (and hopefully final) draft that I circulate in Week 3.
I have also attached the form of player roster (needed for all teams) and the form of Game Day Card (needed for JV/V teams, 2 complete copies are needed for the game, one for the opposing coach and one for the ref, if you want one for yourself remember to print 3). Also, pro tip, use the word version of the Game Day Card and type in your roster and number in advance and either hand write in the teams and play up/cross over plays as needed or type that info in each week; I see lots of game cards come in handwritten each week, which is fine, but save yourself the time and type in your rosters in advance.
Notes for this Week:
Let me know if any issues arise and I am happy to help smooth them out. The biggest take away this week is make sure that we are communicating with the other team. Home teams, you should reach out at least three days prior to your game and provide the visiting team with address/directions to your game, confirm that game time, confirm that jersey color that you will be wearing and relay any other relevant information such as parking restrictions, pet prohibitions, etc. This email should be sent to both the opposing coach and their soccer coordinator via email or text or a call. Visiting teams, respond to the email/text so the home team knows that you got it. If it is two days before game day and you have not received any information, please reach out to the home team and their soccer coordinator and request that info. If it is one day before game day and you have not heard from the opposing team, feel free to contact them again and cc me and if need be I will follow up directly and help facilitate things. Hopefully I won't need to do that and we will all be respectful of everyone's time and need to inform their team of these details.
Good Luck, have fun and remember the Diocese Prayer and do your part to “help us play in a christ-like manner”.
Regards,
