Good Morning all, I hope you all had a great holiday weekend. Not much on the soccer front other than a few late season/playoff updates for the JV/V league and an update on the Developmental and All Girls Tournament we had on May 16.
1. JV/Varsity – Final Regular Season Games and Playoffs. As a reminder, all games must be played and uploaded by this Sunday in order to count for standings. Please make every effort to get your games in and uploaded immediately following the end of the game so I can update things on my end in real time. Unplayed games will either count as non-played games or forfeits, depending on the circumstances that arose for the originally scheduled game not being played. If you foresee any issues with not getting your game in, please let me know ASAP.
Additionally, as we look ahead to next week for our playoffs I wanted to remind you all of how we determined playoffs. First, in the event of a tiebreaker, any determinations of seedings/cutoffs are made manually as the webpage doesn't follow the same rules we use when breaking ties, so bear that in mind and understand that the webpage standings may not accurately reflect the actual seedings. Second, we generally try to take 50% of teams in bracket plus 1 for playoff cutoffs. Which means we will take the following number of teams for the applicable bracket: Varsity Premier – 3 teams; Varsity MLS – 6 teams; JV Premier – 5 teams; and JV MLS – 5 teams. And finally, the game dates for the Playoffs will more than likely be as follows (all games are at Seton LaSalle)- Wednesday June 3 – JV Premier play in game between 4 and 5 seeds at 6:30pm; Friday June 5 – JV MLS Premier play in game between 4 and 5 seeds at 6:00pm and Varsity MLS play in games between 4 and 5 seeds and 3 and 6 seeds at 7:15 and 8:30 pm; Saturday June 6 – Varsity Premier play in game between 2 and 3 seeds and all other bracket semi final games
